STAINMASTER® Advanced Teflon® Repel System
STAINMASTER® has advanced its Teflon® cookware technology and applied it to carpeting. This unique innovation actually keeps carpets cleaner, ensuring a beautiful, fresh look for years to come.

STAINMASTER® Anti-Static Technology

Bulked Continuous Filament (BCF)
Continuous strands of nylon are formed into yarn. They are also texturized to increase their bulk and to change from straight into kinked or curled fiber.
Twist
Each carpet fiber is wound around itself to make the carpet pile more resilient. The tighter the twist, the more the carpet will resist crushing, matting and changes in texture.
Heat Setting
After the fiber is twisted, it is treated with heat to lock in the twist. The result: carpet fibers that won't easily unravel or crush under heavy foot traffic.
Tufting
The heat-set fiber is fed through needles and then stitched or tufted into the primary carpet backing. The density of a carpet is determined by how much yarn is used and how close the tufts are to one another.
Dyeing
The tufted carpet is saturated with liquid dye then treated with a fixation solution and dried.
The Advanced Teflon® Repel System
The dyed carpet is now saturated with anti-stain polymers. Then it undergoes a fixation process and is dried again. Next, a unique Teflon® solution is applied. The result is carpet that has the long lasting ability to repel dirt and resist stains.

STAINMASTER® guarantees that the surface pile of the carpet will resist stains by most foods and beverages. However, no carpet is fully stain proof and the warranty excludes stains from non-food and non-beverage substances, particularly bleaches, acne medications and drain cleaners, as well as strong natural dyes like mustard and herbal teas, vomit, urine and feces.
Soil Resistance
STAINMASTER® guarantees that a carpet subject to normal indoor household floor traffic will not noticeably change color due to the accumulation of dry soil, if you have been following the recommended carpet care and cleaning instructions. Specifically excluded are color changes due to stains from the list above, as well as damage from burns, pets, tears, cuts, pulls, shading or pile reversal, furniture depressions or athletic equipment.
Texture Retention
STAINMASTER® guarantees that the surface pile of your carpet, when installed over correct padding and subject to normal residential use, will not lose pile texture and the carpet tufts will not burst, bloom, open or loosen their twist. This does not include damage from tears, pulls, cuts, pilling, burns, pets, furniture coasters, athletic equipment, vacuum marks or heavily wheeled devices. Changes in appearance caused by soiling, shading, pile reversal, or furniture depressions are also excluded.
Abrasive Wear
STAINMASTER® guarantees that your carpet, except those on stairs, will not lose more than 10% of its surface fiber to abrasive wear for ten years. That does not include wear or damage from tears, pulls, cuts, pilling, shedding, matting, crushing, shading, or pile reversal, burns, pets, improper cleaning, improper installation, or defective construction.
Anti-Static Protection
STAINMASTER® guarantees that for the life of your carpet it will not generate static electricity greater than 5.0 kilovolts.

So, even if your reason is a poor color choice, we'll replace it with STAINMASTER® branded carpet of the same grade or one of equal value.
